Hello everyone,
Well what a change we're expecting for this weekend, it was looking dismal but now it's WOW.
Saturday at Red Beach is predicted SSE 11 - 15 kts with low tide at 14:05, so be there from midday and bring your 5.5m sails.
Sunday is better with SE 23kts at 14:43 (again from midday), and that will mean 4m sails or perhaps 3m if you're up to a challenge.

I had a call from Les of Brighton and cordially invite him and any wouldbe test pilots to join me (and others hopefully) to come along and 'have a go'.
There will be some race-prep going on for the upcoming Australian Open and I may be able to encourage Mr.Webster along for some race tips for the Brisbane contingency and I'm sure we'll see his new Phoenix Swift out there running too (awesome kit).

Go to Tully Street, Bongaree and look for the Red Beach signs down the gravel road and onto the beach. Be ready for FUN...

Call me on 0414633020 if you get lost.

That was not what seabreeze promised, and it's embarrassing with 3 landyachts being pushed down a beach in search of a supposed wind. Never mind though we had a good chat and discussed the finer points of sailing and I helped a woman unhook a stingray she caught, but she didn't really know what it was, or if it could be eaten. lol
The beach was a bit washed out with a lot of seagrass washed up, so let's hope tomorrows good SE comes in and we can do some sailing.

A better day on the beach today with 15kt SE - ESE winds which made for some good tacking pratice to get to Skirmish Point and then a good tail wind run back to Red Beach. 5 Blokarts and 2 landyachts running the 5km run with some technical diversions avoiding the loose dogs running all over the place.
That may be our last practice before the main event at Yeppoon, we'll have to see what the winds do during the week and may get a park sail in next weekend.
Stay tuned.

I did get a call from Les saying he was unable to make it but still intends to get himself a Blokart. Judy may be getting a call this week for a second hand deal.
