Hi all, we are going to Casuarina beach for an afternoon sail with a 10kt E ESE wind predicted. (looking at Cape Moreton right now it's E 29kts, damn you night time)
We will meet at 3pm at the carpark on Kamala Cr, Casuarina for the low tide at 5.30pm (Qld time).
Directions are: take left off the highway (servo BP, I think) at Tweed Coast Rd exit, then left at Coast Rd, left into Casuarina Way, then right into Canthium Way and finally right into Kamala Cr to find the carpark leading to the beach.
Myself, Judy and Bernie will be in my maroon Rodeo ute and Phil will be in his black 4wd. Call us if you need help.

We will going to dinner afterward somewhere there, if you would like to join us.

Hope to see you there.
Cheers Brett 8)

It turned out to be a great day over the border and what a fantastic parade of 11 blokarts doing full laps from Kingscliffe to Cabarita. The wet weather stayed away from us and a few of us jumped into the ocean for a swim before sailing and really enjoyed the pristeen water and the beach shower to follow.
Thanks to Noel for travelling down from Brisbane and the old and new karters from the coast area, Lindsay from Tweed, Phil, Brendan, Josh and John from Goldie. Then we met Paul and Shona from the Goldie who are regulars to the area. Add to that list Judy, Bernie and me to bring total karts to 11, but there were others who jumped on board for a sail and demo ride, so in all a well spent 3 1/2 hours of sailing.
I must admit the wind was very light when we arrived at 2pm but by 3pm it had picked up and an encouraging call from Brendan to Phil and John brought them hurrying down to join us.
We certainly missed not having other Brisbane people down there and the Kinchins from the Goldie but maybe next time.

Keep an eye out for our next adventure and don't forget 'if it's blowing, we're going sailing'. Send a text to Judy and we'll all get to hear about it on the cellular grapevine.

Cheers Brett 8)

Wow, what a great day at Casuarina. Thats why I love the place so much. Funny how you get to the border and the clouds disappear and you have a lovely sunny afternoon!!

The 7km laps from Kingscliffe to Cabarita were great training for the Enduro at Yeppoon and just great to be back on the beach and not have to worry about any tacking!!

Lovely swim and spa at Drift afterwards and then beautiful dinner at Kingscliffe Hotel just topped off a great day.

Cant wait to do it all again so watch those weather reports. Liz you will be kicking yourself you missed it all!!
