The winds are looking good for both days coming in SSE - SE with 20+kts Sat and 15+kts Sun and low tides 9:35 and 10:50 respectively. I'll be heading to Bribie Sat morning (7am ish) at this stage as some other things may need to done on Sunday.
Red Beach for anyone interested and new to our sport/club is off Tully street Bongaree, just follow the signs past the RSL and then down the gravel road to the beach. This beach is good for 2 hours either side of low tide times.
Anyone reading who has met us or read about our sport and would like to try it out with good instructors, please feel free to come along and make yourself known and have some fun.

Cheers Brett 8)

Had a great time at Red beach this morning with ESE and E winds around 20kts. Arrived at 7:30am and sailing by 8am, I had to wait for the tide to recede a bit as the winds were pushing the waves in and leaving no hard sand, and a few new exposed trees made for some tight moves.
Plenty of fresh seagrass had been washed up and thankfully because of the wind and light rain kept the people with pets off the beach.
Used the 3m sail today and best speed was 55kph, but the interesting stat was average speed over 4 hours was 28kph, meaning a lot of good runs over my sail time.
Could be same for Sunday, I think Judy and Bernie may be heading up in the morning, check with them.

The wind was blowin, so I went sailin... Along with Judy and Bernie and the doggies, and we all had fun in the sun.
ESE 15kts for most of the time, it did drop off to almost zero as the tide turned but then picked up again. Which was enough time to grag a bite to eat, a drink and chat with people on the beach before heading down to Skirmish for some racing practice.
My best speed was 47kph but Judy had to outdo me with 47.7kph and we were all using 4m sails so it was pretty close. Judy has to practice those turns for more speed on exit.

Merry Christmas to all, have a great time and stay safe.
