Blokart State of Origin Round 2 15-16 November

Postby JudyCox on Mon Jun 23, 2008 10:03 pm

The next round of the Blokart State of Origin will be held at Coffs Harbour on 15-16 November.

Queensland was the winner of Round 1 so honour is at stake.

Several club members will be heading down and making a long weekend so post your thoughts and ideas here.

My favourite Coffs Harbour camping place is Spit Solitary Beach Caravan Park at Coffs Harbour so see websitehttp://www.splitsolitarycaravanpark.com/

Pen me in for a trip down south to take on the blues for a second round on their home ground.
The Split Sol' caravan park looks the money for my camping stay and play. Will we need to book in early for a good spot for our group?
It would look so cool on the big orange marquee that I'll be taking down there if we had a Qld flag and a BBKC sign/flag (Lee or maybe Greg could screen print it on).

Hi Guys

Sorry i missed the meeting on Monday night, family in from NZ.

Most of the blokarters seem to be staying at the Lorikette Touris Park, Danny has organised a discount if you mention blokarts, winds permitting we we will be sailing out front of the resort.

Cheers
Phil

I found the actual NSW tide table and now the more accurate low tide times are Thursday 14:30/0.17m, Friday 15:20/0.13m, Saturday 16:15/0.17m, Sunday 17:15/0.22m.
My plan is to have an extended weekend of Thursday to Monday, plenty of time to relax and enjoy the area, maybe even play some golf  ...
Has everyone looked at the options of caravan parks and made any choices yet? Shall we try to make it all in one park?
Please leave a reply here so everyone can make a decision and then get their booking in early.

Good day ALL,
I am very confused as usual. Lee sent around a flyer by email that was prepared by the NSW club regarding accomindation. They have reserved 6 cabins for us??. I feel we need to get our act together this coming week to confirm who and what and not rely on the forum postings to create a magical solution. I have sent an email to Lee confirming my accomindation. I feel we should all stay in one location to get the best out of being a club. I can chnge my accomindation to siut the majority requests.

Look forward to your replies.

Sorry, we have been away for the week skiing and just catching up on emails. We are taking a 4 day weekend and was originally thinking of staying at Solitary Split because they accept dogs. I will make a few calls this week and hassle the husband to make some decisions and let you know how I go!!

Ok, I have called Lorrikeet Park and they will accept dogs if you have your own camper. Therefore I think this will be the best to stay at. Cost for 2 adults on an unpowered site is $62.10 for three nights including the blokart discount.

Did everyone want to send me their details ie dates, amount of people, power/unpowered/cabin, etc and I can make all the reservations so we are close together if possible??

We will arrive on Friday 14 November and leave on Monday 17 November is anyone else wants a long weekend and drive down and back together.

:D :D Hi Judy, thats a great idea about a block booking. We will require one powered and one unpowered sight side by side if thats ok. Numbers are 2 adults [powered] for caravan and 2 adults,2kids [unpowered] for tent.If you can't get the powered/unpowered together, then we will go for 2 powered as long as they are together. It would be great if the whole club was together though don't you think. :?:  8)

Hey Judy,
I'm happy with that decision, so I would like an unpowered camp site for one (lonely) BBKC blokarter. I'll be there from Thursday 13th Nov to Monday 17th, if you could include that in the booking please.
